If we can give you one piece of advice- Travel. Travel often. Go with a local if you can- do things locals would do.Take pictures. Stay away tourist traps. Stay safe, but stay adventurous. Don’t sleep in, you’ll have plenty of time to rest on the plane ride home. Take a lot of pictures. Keep a diary of events. Don’t spend too long at national monuments, and use the extra time exploring hidden treasures. Live like a local. No seriously, take pictures and videos of everything. Everything. And keep some extra cash, id, and credit card in your sock. If you’re traveling right, you’re probably going to get robbed. And keep an extra camera in your suitcase so you can take pictures.
